Harnesscom is a family run business specialising in low volume manufacture.

Over the past years we have seen the erosion of the manufacturing industry within the UK by movement to low cost production units overseas. This has resulted in the sourcing of low volume requirements becoming increasingly difficult to procure.

The normal problems encountered are:

· Volume too small

· Cost disproportionately high

· Inconsistent quality

· Unrealiability of supply

 

Our core business is the manufacture of wiring and cable looms from 250mm up to 13.50 mtrs in varying volumes from 1 up to 1000 per month.

To compliment our core business we have developed a rapid response service which is aimed to turn round product within 3 days from receipt of material. This has become especially popular  when a customer has a machine breakdown, rush orders etc.

A natural progression from our  wiring business was to develop into control panel assy where both provide the wiring sets and the assy.

Some customers still prefer to manufacture their own looms but require a wire prep service where we cut and terminate the wires for the customer.

Quality is assured through continuity testing, pull off tests and full product testing were required.
